CLEMENTE VETERANS' INITIATIVE: HOUSTON

Founded in 2015, the Clemente Veterans' Initiative (CVI) is a humanities course that aims to create meaningful conversations between veterans through literature and art. The curriculum is designed to appeal to military and veteran culture, and potentially serves as a bridge to higher education.

Supported by a generous grant from the National Endowment for the
Humanities, CVI: Houston is a free course for veterans to come together to read and discuss important works of art, literature, philosophy, and history. The course will hosted by the Honors College at the University of Houston.
